Tomedes

A squad commander of Saint West, which is famous for its military power.

Tomedes's reactions to stimuli falls a step behind: there is even a saying that time goes slower around Tomedes. Tomedes doesn't have much interest in his surroundings: if there is a big noise, he gets surprised after a few seconds: when a person asks him something, he answers back with a stupid expression after a while.

Tomedes often looks up to the sky when he is not in combat or operations, saying that it is when he is most happy. Many people advised Tomedes to act like he is constantly in battle because he instantly responds to external stimuli during combat. However, Tomedes insists that these sluggish days enable the acute reactions in battle. Tomedes's explanation made the others give up on persuading him with a nod.

Even after becoming a squad leader, Tomedes does not take command of the squad members outside of combat but leaves to go somewhere and zones out. However, since he has done that ever since he joined the army, the others ignore it unless the army is in a hurry.
